GYEON Q² Wax 175g
Rich Gloss and Water Beading in a Hand-Applied Car Wax
GYEON Q² Wax combines the experience of hand waxing with hydrophobic paint protection. Designed to leave glossy paint looking richer and feeling smoother, it is a good choice for enthusiasts who enjoy applying a dedicated finishing product after a thorough wash. The 175g twist-up tube makes it easy to load a foam applicator and spread a controlled, thin layer.
Use it as standalone protection on prepared paint or as a wax topper over a fully cured, compatible ceramic coating. The result is an extra finishing step you can see and feel: enhanced gloss, a slick surface and pronounced water beading. The wax helps with routine maintenance, but regular washing and prompt removal of bird droppings, insects and other contamination remain important.
Why Choose GYEON Q² Wax?
- Gloss enhancement: brings depth and a freshly detailed appearance to glossy automotive paint.
- Slick surface feel: adds the smooth finish many detailers look for in a hand-applied wax.
- Hydrophobic behaviour: encourages water to bead on treated panels.
- Flexible use: suitable as standalone paint protection or a topper over a compatible, cured coating.
- Controlled application: the twist-up packaging helps you transfer a small amount to the applicator.
- Application accessories included: supplied with a wax applicator and microfiber removal towel.

How to Apply GYEON Wax
- Wash and dry the vehicle. Remove loose dirt first, then address bonded contamination where needed. The paint should feel clean before waxing.
- Prepare for your chosen use. On unprotected paint, remove oily residue with a suitable preparation product. For an existing ceramic coating, follow its approved cleaning and curing requirements.
- Load the applicator. Twist the base to expose a small amount of wax. Wipe the applicator across it lightly; do not rub the open tube directly against the vehicle.
- Apply a thin, even film. Work over cool, dry panels in the shade. Use overlapping movements and spread the wax far enough to avoid thick, white deposits.
- Wait before removal. Leave the applied layer for at least 30 minutes. Preparation and this waiting period are part of the process, so allow enough time for the job.
- Buff to a clear finish. Remove residue with a clean microfiber, turning to a fresh side frequently. Inspect edges and panel gaps for remaining wax.
Tips for an Even Finish
- More wax means more residue to remove. A thin, consistent application is easier to finish cleanly.
- Do not apply to a ceramic coating that is still curing; follow the coating maker's required wait before topping.
- This is a gloss-enhancing product. Choose a finish-specific alternative for matte or satin surfaces.
- Wax does not remove scratches, oxidation or etched water spots. Address those issues separately before protection.
- Avoid unnecessary contact with textured, porous trim and keep the applicator free of grit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is GYEON Wax a ceramic coating?
No. It is a hand-applied wax with a different application and maintenance routine. Choose it when you want gloss, slickness and renewable protection as part of regular detailing.
Can I put it over ceramic-coated paint?
Yes, provided the coating has fully cured and its maintenance instructions allow a wax topper. The wax becomes the exposed surface, so its water behaviour may temporarily replace that of the underlying coating.
Do I have to machine polish first?
No. Polishing is useful when you want to correct paint defects, but it is not automatically required for every wax application. Clean, properly prepared paint is the starting point.
How long will one application last?
GYEON publishes a maximum of 6 months or 3,000km. Outdoor exposure, washing products and vehicle use can shorten that considerably. Inspect the finish during maintenance rather than relying only on a calendar.
Can I use this wax on the windshield?
Choose a dedicated glass treatment such as GYEON QuickView for exterior automotive glass. Q² Wax is intended for gloss-enhancing surface protection, not windshield treatment.
